Life Groups

Here is your invitation
To become part of a Life Group with a
purpose.
If you are a believer, then you are on a mission. Your mission is to spread God’s love.
If you are still seeking, then a Life Group may be able to offer some answers.
SO HERE IS THE DEAL. We are anxious to have you choose the kind of group that will help you fulfill the mission God has called you to. Here are some helpful guidelines as you consider which Life Group is best for you.
- If your mission is to serve others, then look for a group that will offer opportunities to serve. Look for ways to make a difference in someone else’s life.
- Maybe you are a new Christian, or are not a Christian but seeking answers, or have been a Christian for many years, and you want to learn and grow. Look for a group that offers discipleship.
- You may feel overloaded. You may feel alone. If so, you probably aren’t interested in another meeting unless it is going to be life-giving. Look for a group that will be intentional about building relationships. But remember, you are on a mission! The danger here is to become only inward focused rather than outward focused. It’s okay to be renewed, but the goal is to get renewed so that you can become outward focused.
- Are you looking for a group of people that you would feel comfortable inviting your friends to? You could look for or even start your own group that shares a common interest or hobby. Maybe you all love to play games, maybe you all like to barbecue, or maybe you all are interested in gardening. Use your interests to spark ways that you can reach others outside the church who share or could benefit from your interests.
- Remember, children provide wonderful ways to naturally gather with people outside the church. Maybe you would like a Life Group that is based on the activities your children are involved in. Think outside the box. You may want to gather your group together after the football game. This takes 5th quarter to a whole new level!
- Of course you may just want to dig deeper into God’s Word. You enjoy reading and discussing the Bible. Find a group that shares your interest. Keep in mind that studying the Bible is not an end in itself; it should spur you on to action!
- If your desire simply is to pray, what a tremendous blessing you can be. Find a group that wants to spend quality time praying together. Strong bonds can be formed through the act of praying together, and how our church needs those who see this as their mission.
This list could go on and on. Maybe it sparks something within you.
If you feel like your mission is not being addressed by any of the groups being offered please visit with Pastor Ken.
Ask God to direct you, and remember: the key is to take a risk and try.
You may find your life will never be the same.
We encourage our church Life groups to meet in homes on the 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings of each month. Child care is provided at the church from 5:45 pm – 8:15 pm
